JUNIOR CLUB TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
1. The competition will be known as the Suffolk Junior Club Team Championship and will be organised by the SGU Junior Committee.
2. Entry shall be open to Junior members of either gender of all SGU affiliated clubs. Players must be under 18 years of age on the 1st January of the year of competition.
A player may play for a different club in either the Team Championship competition or the Handicap Cup but may not play for more than one club in either competition during the same season
3. A draw will take place to determine matches. These will be played on a 'knockout' basis. The organizing committee reserves the right to decide whether an initial 'round robin' or preliminary rounds will be held depending on the number of entries received.
4. Matches will be played as follows:-
· Teams to consist of three players, maximum handicaps of 24 for boys, 36 for girls. Only one team per Club may enter.
· Format -18 holes, Stableford play, boys - white tees, girls - LGA markers.
· One player from each participating team in each group.
· Teams must play in handicap order, receiving full handicaps.
· All 3 stableford scores to decide the winning team
· In the event of a tie, the aggregate stableford scores will be decided over the last combined gross 9, 6,3, 1 etc.
5. As far as is possible matches should be arranged by mutual agreement, however, the 'Home' club must offer three alternative dates at least thirty days notice to the 'Away' Club of the date of matches. Dates by which each round must be completed will be advised by the Suffolk Golf Union. Results to be notified to the SJG Secretary within 3 days of the completion of the match. Clubs risk disqualification if matches are not completed by the date notified by the SJG. The SJG Committee will review all such cases and decide the outcome and its decision shall be final.
6. Home clubs to provide a referee for the qualifying round(s). SGU will provide referees for semi-final and final rounds.
7. Caddies are not permitted.
Spectators of any match should ensure that the players are able to concentrate on their game and avoid any inference that advice, contrary to the rules of golf, is being given.
8. The overall winning team will be deemed the Suffolk Junior Club Team Champions and a team of 3 players will be eligible to represent the County at the EGU Junior Club Tournament in the year of competition.
9. Entries to be made on the official entry form accompanied by the appropriate fee.
10.All entries to be made to the SJG Secretary by the closing date.
JUNIOR TEAM HANDICAP CUP
1 The competition will be known as the Suffolk Junior Team Handicap Cup
and will be organised by the SJG Committee.
2. Entry shall be open to Junior members of either gender of all SGU affiliated
clubs. Players must be under 18 years of age on the 1st January of the year of
competition. A player may play for a different club in either the Team Championship competition or the Handicap Cup but may not play for more than one club in the same competition during the same season

· Teams to consist of 6 players, maximum handicaps of 28 for boys and
36 for girls. Only one team per Club may enter.
· Format - 18 holes, Matchplay - singles, boys - white tees, girls - LGA
markers. Strokes will be given as full difference in handicap.
· Teams must play in Handicap order, lowest first.
· In the case of a 'mixed' game strokes will be taken from the men's
card. In addition to any handicap allowance girls will receive shots
that are the difference between the Mens SSS and the Ladies SSS. If
two girls play each other then any shots will be given from the Ladies
card.
· Each game will play for points. One point for a win, 1/2 for a halved
game. If the match results in a tie, a player from each side will be
nominated by her/his Club to play 'sudden death' commencing at the
1st hole.
In the event of bad weather games may be decided over 9 holes.

7. As Junior Team Club Championship.
8. The overall winning team will be deemed the Suffolk Junior Team Handicap cup winners and will be eligible to represent the County in the Sunday Telegraph Home Nations Championship for the year of competition.
9. Entries to be made on the official entry form accompanied by the appropriate fee.
10.All entries to be made with the appropriate entry fee by the stipulated closing date
