Bungay & Waveney Valley Junior Open

Bungay & Waveney Valley Golf Club held their Junior Open, a Suffolk Junior Order of Merit event on Sunday 10th September.32 youngsters including 5 girls took part.

The Geoffrey Watts Trophy for the boys lowest gross score went to Habebul Islam, a plus 1 handicapper from Ipswich ,who recorded a round of 67. Liam Cossey, Royal Norwich  1 handicap was 2nd with 69 and Liam Hansey, 3 handicap from the homer club, 3rd on 74.

The Yolie Dye Trophy for the lowest girls gross was won by Jessica Buck, 20 handicap from Halesworth with 84. Girls handicap prizes went to Chloe Tarbard 21 handicap from Heacham Manor with 71 from Erin Earl,23 handicap from Colchester also with 71.

Boy's handicap 13-28 1st Danny Howes, 15 handicap Bury St Edmunds with 70 from Charlie Goodridge, 24 handicap also from Bury St Edmunds with 72 and Spencer Humphrey-Moore 19 handicap from Diss with 73. 

Boys handicap 0-12 was won by Teddy Hall, 8 handicap from Bury St Edmunds with 66 from Ben Loveard, 5 handicap from Bedlow Manor on 68 and Sean Foster,10 handicap also Bedlow Manor on 70.

The team prize went to Bedlow Manor with the home club 2nd. The best Bungay player prize to Sam Bingham, Nearest the pins- boys 0-12 Habebul Islam-13-28 Charlie Goodridge with the girls nearest the pin Jessica Buck. Liam Hansey won the putting competition.
