SUFFOLK ORDER OF MERIT COMPETITION – Rules 2019

Suffolk Order of Merit (Dick Berendt Salver)
Introduction
Over recent years we have seen a reduction of entries into Order of Merit events and occasionally the winner has been decided after very few events. With so many events available (see below), it has been decided to change the format from 2018 to encourage greater participation maintaining interest through to the final event at the Aldeburgh Golf Club in October. The revised format started in 2018, taking into account all the events any Suffolk club may wish to run as an Order of Merit event. The top 20 scratch players and the top 16 handicap leading players will be invited to participate in the ‘Race to Aldeburgh’ finals day where the Suffolk Order of Merit champion will be crowned alongside other winners on the day.
