George Fricker is Suffolk Junior Champion
The Suffolk Junior Championship was played at Bungay & Waveney Valley Golf Club on Wednesday 8th August. With a disappointing entry of only 26 players it was decided to reduce the competition to 18 holes.
The new Suffolk Junior Champion is George Fricker, a scratch handicapper from Ufford Park, who shot a level par round of 69, 1 shot ahead of Max Adams (Bury St Edmunds) and 2 ahead of Alfie Halil (Flempton)

In view of the low level of entries 2 scores from each club counted towards the Team Shield which was won by the Bury St Edmunds pairing of Teddy Hall who shot 73 and Tyler Weaver with 72.
Other prizes went to - Under 18 Handicap - Jack Butcher (Gorleston) 72-5-67, Under 16 Gross Ryan Turnbull (Stowmarket) 72, Under 16 Handicap- Ben Newman (Rookery Park) 73-6-67, Under 14 gross- Tyler Weaver (Bury St Edmunds) 72, Under 14 Handicap -Enzo Johnson (Ufford Park) 90-26-64
George Fricker will, as Suffolk Junior Champion, participate in the Boys County Champion of Champions Tournament at Woodhall Spa Golf Club on Saturday 15th September.

The Suffolk Junior Match play Championship will be played at Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club on Tuesday 21st August. In view of the low number of entries this will consist of Semi-Finals and Final only. The matches being George Fricker v Tyler Weaver; Alfie Halil v Max Adams.
