James Biggs wins the Lagonda Trophy
The Lagonda Trophy is a 72 hole scratch event played at Gog Magog Golf Course Cambridge. Previous winners include Luke Donald, Andy Sullivan and Lee Westwood.
66 players took part. A cut was made after 2 rounds falling at 11 over par with 46 players progressing to the final 2 rounds. Unfortunately Paul Waring, Felixstowe Ferry didi not make it.
Habebul Islam, Ipswich, had carded 75 -75 for a 10 over par 150. He added further scores of 75 and 76 for a total of 301- 21 over par and 38th place..
James Biggs, the current Suffolk Amateur Champion, from Diss Golf Club had made the cut with rounds of 71 and 74 for 145- 5 over par. He added 2 superb 2 under par rounds of 68 for a total of 281 and victory by 3 clear shots.
