Suffolk Open Championship 2019 AM Rules

The Suffolk Golf Union has revised its Competition Rules for 2019 and players are strongly advised to carry a copy of current England Golf Hard Card when competing in Suffolk Golf Union competitions


Specific Conditions of Entry for the Suffolk Open Championship
a) The Championship Meeting will be held each year with the winner receiving the Farraday Trophy, the leading amateur receiving the Chris Easterbrook Trophy and the leading Professional receiving a cash voucher.
b) Professionals must be a bona fide member of the Suffolk PGA or affiliated to a Suffolk club and shall not have taken part in any golf championship of any other County in the same calendar year.
c) The qualification for the above will be as for County Competitions.
d) The Championship will be decided by Medal Play over 36 holes off Scratch.
e) Prizes will be awarded for the best morning, afternoon and all-day scratch scores and one all-day handicap score. No player will receive more than one prize.
g) A current list of entries received for all championships is displayed on the SGU website



As a condition of entry, participants agree to the SGU rules and procedures.

A full start sheet and tee times will be sent to all Suffolk clubs and posted on the SGU website shortly after the closing date.
