The Suffolk Amateur Championship is a 54 hole singles scratch strokeplay event, attracting WAGR points, normally played in mid season over a single weekend.The full field will play 18 holes on the Saturday following which a cut will be made with the top 34 and ties progressing to play 36 holes on the Sunday.
Any player who is a member of an affiliated club in the Suffolk Golf Union can enter, subject to the player holding a handicap index that satisfies the entry conditions.. A handicap ballot will be held if entry is over subscribed. The winner will be the player who returns the lowest scratch score over 54 holes. The top 3 players will be invited to take part in the Suffolk Amateur Matchplay Championship which will be held on Suffolk Matchplay Finals day, normally on a Sunday in September.
