Suffolk Junior Championship 2019 AM Rules

The Suffolk Golf Union has revised its Competition Rules for 2019 and players are strongly advised to carry a current copy of the England Golf Hard Card when competing in Suffolk Golf Union competitions


Specific Conditions of Entry for the Suffolk Junior Championship (Boys)
a) The Championship Meeting will be held each year with the winners receiving the Mackenzie Cup.
b) The qualification for the above will be as for County Competitions.
c) Competitors age qualification criteria is age on January 1st in the year of the competition. Under 14 age group players are restricted to 18 holes unless they hold single figure handicaps at the time of the event. It is the player’s responsibility to notify the Suffolk Golf Union by the entry closing date if their handicap has reduced to a single figure handicap in order to compete over 36 holes.
d) During play parents/guardians are requested to stay beyond 50 metres of their child. Persistent infringements may result in disqualification of the player
e) The Championship will be decided by Medal Play over 36 holes off Scratch. Age group scratch ties and handicap ties will be decided on count -back.
f) The first round only will count for the age group competitions playing one round only with the remaining age groups competing over 36 holes
g) Prizes will be awarded for the categories including, scratch, age group champions and handicap age groups.
h) Lunch is provided for competitors in this Championship.
i) A current list of entries received for all championships is displayed on the SGU website.




As a condition of entry, participants agree to the SGU rules and procedures.
